On January 30, 2022, Jeffrey Kenneth Brent was attacked outside a nightclub. Jeff was on his way home from his duties as a bartender when Jasmin Hopkins punched him, causing him to fall and hit his head. The attack was cut short when Jasmin was chased away by a security guard, but Jeff later died of his brain injuries. According to witnesses, the two men were familiar with one another because Jeff had previously removed Jasmin from a bar after Jasmin assaulted another customer.
