On January 30, 2019, Edana Renee Chokey was killed by her husband a few days after their second anniversary. Arthur Horlbeck, who had recently complained about "nasty hateful wicked whites" on social media, fired several handgun shots at a neighbor's car before going back inside his home and killing Edana and himself.
