On January 19, 2017, Carissa Nicole Oakman was smothered to death. Carissa's landlady, Marguerite Pickens, along with handyman Orlandus Calhoun and Antenidus Collier, assaulted and killed the mother of two, apparently because of a dispute over money. According to Orlandus and Antenidus, while they were holding Carissa down and smothering her, Marguerite kicked her and struck her with a baseball bat. They wrapped Carissa's body in garbage bags and carried it away in a truck. It was found almost two weeks later in an abandoned garage.
