On January 17, 2021, Jordan Scott Hightower was killed at work. Dorian Woodard walked into the convenience store where Jordan was a cashier, and without saying a word, fired eight rounds at him. The teenage gunman tried to open the cash register, but gave up and stole some tobacco and snacks before leaving. Jordan had recently married; his wife was informed of his murder when she drove to the store that day to pick him up from work.
