On January 12, 2012, Karissa Marie Kunco was found dead. Karissa's ex-boyfriend Jordan Clemons had threatened to kill himself, in order to coerce her into meeting with him. When she did, he slashed the 21-year-old's throat and then used her father's ATM card to buy an Xbox. Not long afterwards, Karissa's car was found abandoned with a "great quantity" of blood in the back seat, and her body was spotted in some roadside woods.
According to Karissa's sister, "They seemed like a good match. Jordan was quiet but respectful and made my sister happy. He came from a tough background, so we welcomed him into our family."
