On December 23, 2019, Dillard Carl Kennedy was murdered over $200. Carl owed the money to a neighbor named Osby Scott; when Osby came to collect on the debt, Carl told him he couldn't repay him yet. The two men got into an argument that ended with Osby shooting Carl in the chest. Osby then found Carl's girlfriend and fired another shot that passed through her leg and struck their dog. But only Carl was killed, leaving behind four daughters and a granddaughter.
