On December 23, 1989, Warren Harris, Dolores Harris, Shelby Harris, and Marc Harris had an unexpected visitor. Michael Kinge originally came to rob the gift store that Dolores operated on their property. Finding the whole family at home, he tied up and blindfolded Warren, Dolores, and their 11-year-old son Marc in an upstairs bedroom, and took 15-year-old Shelby to a separate room to rape her. Then he shot each of them in the head and used gasoline to burn the bodies.
