On December 20, 2015, Jessica Doreen Valenzuela was run over. Jessica was visiting a busy tourist area when Lakeisha Holloway, driving a car nearby with her toddler in the back seat, climbed onto the sidewalk and sped through the crowd. In an attack that authorities and several witnesses said appeared to be intentional, Lakeisha killed Jessica and injured almost 40 other pedestrians. After her arrest, Lakeisha reportedly told police, "I am hurting, and I want others to feel my pain.
