On December 12, 2019, Konner Englehart was killed by his mother's boyfriend. According to family members and witnesses, Robert Thorpe came to the 22-year-old's home in the middle of the night and shot Konner's identical twin brother, then pointed his gun at the twin's pregnant girlfriend. Konner "tackled Thorpe down the steps, where unfortunately Konner was shot to death and killed... on his own front porch."
