On December 8, 2012, Kayla Peterson was killed. Kayla's boyfriend had been followed home from the store by Marcus Velasquez, Todavia Cleckley, and Kyle Goosby, who were harassing him for cigarettes. When Kayla told them to leave her boyfriend alone, one of the boys shot the 22-year-old mother in the stomach.
