On December 3, 2020, Caitlyn Marie Kaufman was killed on the freeway. Caitlyn was on her way to the hospital where she worked as a nurse when she was shot from another vehicle, in what investigators believe was a case of "road rage." According to a witness, Caitlyn cut off Devaunte Hill as they were driving, so he "shot up the car," hitting it at least six times and striking 26-year-old Caitlyn in the shoulder. James Cowan, who was riding with Devaunte at the time, along with his girlfriend Dimeneshia Carter, have also been charged in relation to the killing.
