On November 16, 2021, Ryan Rogers was found dead. While taking a bike ride near his home, Ryan had been attacked by Semmie Williams, who stabbed the 14-year-old over a dozen times in the face and head, then left his body on the side of the road. After his arrest, Semmie reportedly told one of his guards "I killed that motherfucker, and I'll kill you too," called another guard a "white devil," and suggested that Ryan's murder was in retribution for the Tuskegee Experiment.
