On November 14, 2020, Adam Chalmers Gautreau was killed by a stranger. Jeremy Harris pulled up in his car and shot Adam before driving away, in a random attack that investigators believe Jeremy repeated against several other victims. Adam left behind a young son; according to the boy's grandmother, he "really hasn't grasped it yet... I think as holidays come and go and he gets older, he's going to realize that his dad is gone and he's never going see him again."
