On November 11, 2009, • Edward Earl Gentry Sr., • Edward Earl Gentry Jr., • Pamela Fern Gentry, • Jeremy Robert Gentry, and • Kristyn Nichole Warneke were executed by burglars. Samuel Conway, Jeremy Pickney, and Marvin Stringer came to the Gentry family's home late at night, bound them, and loaded thousands of dollars worth of items into the family's pickup truck. At some point in the evening, the five victims were each shot in the head and the home was set on fire, burning most of their bodies beyond recognition. According to witnesses, the motive for the attack was revenge, as Samuel's older brother suspected that Jeremy Gentry (who was Edward Jr.'s son and 19-year-old Kristyn's boyfriend) had stolen something from him.
