On November 10, 2020, David Deleon Henderson and Edith Yates Henderson were killed in their home. David had run out to buy some breakfast for himself and his wife when Marcelle Waldon walked in through an unlocked door. He forced Edie to write him two checks for $5,000 each, then tied her up on a bed and stabbed her to death. When David came home with their food and went to the bedroom to find Edie, Marcelle stabbed him to death as well. Then he turned on all the gas burners on the Hendersons' stove and drove away in their car, which he later burned. In the evening, Edie's son came looking for the couple after being unable to contact them.
