On November 10, 2015, Amanda Grace Blackburn was at home with her one-year-old son while her husband was out exercising. A group of three men were spending the morning burglarizing houses when they arrived at Amanda's home, entering through the unlocked front door. Larry Taylor, 18 years old, shot Amanda twice in the upper body and then in the back of the head. Her husband returned home to find Amanda, who had been three months pregnant, lying in a pool of blood with her underwear removed and her shirt pulled up.
