On November 5, 2016, Lori Jane Milks was having a walk outside her apartment building when she was attacked by a stranger. Gerard Burks stomped on the 63-year-old grandmother's face and torso, fracturing her skull and breaking her spine and ribs in what police describe as a "furious, random attack."
