On October 28, 1980, Susan Louise Jordan was kidnapped on the way to her high school. She had just walked her little brother and sister to their elementary school when Albert Brown, who was posing as a jogger, grabbed Susan and dragged her into a fruit grove. He raped and sodomized the 15-year-old, then strangled her to death with one of her shoelaces. He took Susan's schoolbooks and other belongings, and after spending the day at work, he called Susan's mother and said "Hello, Mrs. Jordan. Susie isn't home from school yet, is she? You will never see your daughter again. You can find her body on the corner of Victoria and Gibson."
