On October 20, 2012, Autumn Leigh Pasquale went to a nearby house to trade bicycle parts. The 12-year-old girl was beaten and strangled to death by Justin Robinson, her 15-year-old neighbor. Then he and his older brother dumped her body in a recycling bin. Justin was sentenced to 17 years for the killing. His brother Dante was convicted of obstruction and released after only a few months, but soon returned to prison after participating in an armed home invasion.
