On October 9, 2021, Dylan McCauley Harrison was ambushed and killed. Dylan was working his first shift as a part-time officer when Damien Ferguson shot him outside the police station. Authorities believe Damien killed the 26-year-old out of revenge; earlier in his shift, Dylan had been forced to subdue and arrest a friend of Damien's when he became violent during a traffic stop. Dylan left behind his wife and their 6-month-old son.
