On September 30, 2015, Gregory Thomas Alia was shot to death. A young police officer, Gregory was responding to a call about a suspicious person at a shopping mall in the early morning. He found Jarvis Hall and tried to talk to him, but Jarvis took off running. When Gregory caught up, Jarvis engaged him in a fight and shot him in the head. Gregory left behind his wife and 6-month-old son.
