On September 24, 2010, Alexandra Engler was killed in her home. Looking to steal a large plasma TV, Aramis Jackson broke in and shot the 42-year-old in the head, then shot Alexandra's 9-year-old daughter several times as she lay on the floor next to her mother's body. The girl survived the attack and was able to crawl away and call 911.

I was half expecting the little girl to be afraid to mention the murderer’s skin color. But that happened over a decade ago when things weren’t as bad as they are now.
