On August 31, 2020, Joshua Lee Ungersma was killed while delivering a pizza. A teenager named Jaelynn Billups called for an order to a house that turned out to be abandoned, and when Joshua arrived, she and her boyfriend attempted to rob him. Joshua, who was working a second job to help provide for his six-month-old son, did his best to defend himself and then fled across the street to ask someone to call the police. But Jaelynn followed him over and shot him several times.
