On August 8, 2017, Keith Howard Odom stopped his semi truck in a shopping center parking lot to repair a tire. He was approached by a young man who demanded his wallet and other valuables. After he turned them over, the 18-year-old Landry Carter took a step back and shot Keith in the abdomen, killing him.

This is why all drivers should carry. Most do. Even though most companies have a "no weapons" policy, it's usually treated as "Don't ask; Don't tell."
