On August 1, 2016, Thomas Shaw was killed in his car. After spending the day collecting rent payments from the various commercial and residential properties he had acquired in his retirement, the 75-year-old great-grandfather was robbed and stabbed to death by Corwin Walker. The young man then dragged Tommy's body out of the vehicle in a failed attempt to hide it. One of Tommy's tenants found the body in the morning.
