On July 20, 2015, Charles Mahon was shot in the head. The 61-year-old was standing in the doorway of his home when across the street, Alexa Curtis and her brother were involved in an argument over $80 with another man. When Alexa called for help from Jalen Hall (the father of Alexa's daughter), he began shooting at the other man. One of his shots accidentally struck and killed Charles.
