On July 20, 2014, Michael Raymond Bailey Jr. stepped outside the restaurant where he was working to take a break. While outside, the 22-year-old was shot and killed by Deonte Jenkins and Christopher Pitts. These young men had intended to rob the business, but abandoned their plan after killing Michael.
