On June 16, 2020, Krista Nicole Casey was shot by her soon-to-be ex-husband. Just after their third anniversary, 23-year-old Krista had presented Andre McKinnon with divorce papers. Three weeks later, and two days before their son's second birthday, Andre killed Krista and himself.
