On June 5, 2016, Phoebe Sherwood Perry died at the age of 94. A celebrated activist on behalf of animals, police believe Phoebe was attacked by the serial killer Billy Chemirmir, who posed as a caregiver or maintenance worker in order to rob and murder at least 14 elderly women.
