Following Jesus counsel to sell your cloak to buy a sword is sound, but evil isn't afraid of good guys with guns, knives, bullets, or bombs. They've got lots of expendable bodies lined up, oftentimes completely oblivious of that fact, ready to soak up the blow back. Targeting and killing three people to bring a wealthy man to heel, is hard. Killing three hundred to kill three and leaving the general public oblivious of the intent is profoundly easier.
Evil wants everyone focusing on guns, defenses, hand to hand, and battle tactics, because it keeps the good guys distracted from asking themselves, who profits from their pain and why? Intel is the really dangerous weapon. A platoon of special operations level shooters, working without intel-abilities is actually at a fatal disadvantage even if they're up against a group of halfwits who's only ability is to understand how to perform intel. Real fights end up won before the fighting even begins. understood that and says that much.
Look at the Russian Federation for example. They've got a massive Moslem population and they watch them so hard they can barely conduct any attacks in quantity.
