Even if you manage to find a job, average monthly wage would be around 700 euros, not even near enough to cover rent. Groceries are as expensive as in Western Europe where minimum wage is about 2000 Euros per month.
Those foreigners are Indians and Nepalis. Their rent, cars, healthcare and similar experiens are all paid by tax payers, and of course they are not even paying taxes.
This is all done to make Croatia unliveable to young Croats. Many have no choice but to emigrate. Including me after EU demanded that military wages for people on 'new contact' be cut more than in half. Ten cursed years already.
From year 1995 to now, Croatia's population has dropped by 600 000 and it's mainly from emigration of young people. This is huge for a country with population of average 4 million.
Edit: Also one thing worth adding is that 'multi generation' houses are a thing in Croatia. You could still be 'living with your parents' while having an entire floor of the house for yourself as an apartment with multiple bedrooms, kitchen and bathroom.
