No, but that's any car with a sim or gps. Transmission makes no difference.

Hard to make the car do anything when it's in neutral.

That makes no sense, leaving it in gear would make it harder to move.

Wow. Ok.

Think in terms of the story you just read. A car started itself, moved itself, and identified itself for a repo person.

Now, I understand there aren't any manual transmission cars that are going to start themselves and move themselves for you, but in terms of the story if there were, leaving it in neutral would prevent that. That's all, nothing else. The point is almost moot anyway, there are almost no manual transmission cars left - even supercars are made for sissies that can't handle a stick in their hands.
