Introducing the Coonye Bixnood Nigphone, featuring "crack dealer speed dial", "where da yt hoes at?" button, Fried Chicken brought to you by Popeyes instant order button, and much more!

All for the low low price of however much it will cost Whitey in increased taxes!

He's going to have to make his own cell service too. Which is harder because he'll have to go through the government and his own payment system. Basically he'll have to create a second economy.

Starlink is evolving to support cell data.

T-Mobile partners.

That's the first step. But Elon mentioned that they will later be able to provide VoIP and internet over mobile phones compatible with the update they are pushing on their satellite constellation.

If anyone knows how to pull the gov purse strings to do those things it's Musk, lmao.

I've been lurking at that project and will probably get one when they will iron out all the bugs (HW/SW)

It could be interesting for the project to get a boost from musk, which in turn could lead to a musk penetration of the linux world, which could help to clean house when it comes to problem glass people inside the said linux world

Because as things are, it's turning more and more into garbage bloatware, now maybe I'm hallucinating, but that's the sentiment I have since a while now

You are correct. More and more sjw commiefaggots are infiltrating the tech world and change it to fit their degenerate views.

He sure does hope that's not the case.

a silly little smartphone should be easy, right?

Absolutely not. I've looked at a lot of them and they all suck for various reasons. Here are a couple that stick out.

Librem 5 (puri.sm). It sounded like an awesome idea, until it got close to roll out. It's biggest flaw is lack of major carrier support. The phone plan is fucking expensive! The phone itself carries an ultra premium price, yet its feature set is below mid range. I could go on and it gets much worse.

Pine phone uses an Allwinner a64 SoC and that barely makes the phone usable. Yes, it works but you won't like it after using iPhone or Glaxy phones with much faster hardware. The camera sucks. Battery life is fine, for the most part. If you're a Linux guru, you won't have too much problems deciding which of the 21 available distros to install.

The point I'm making is, Musk isn't going to be able to compete with Samsung or Apple in the near future. These simple devices aren't simple at all. They're small on the outside and complicated on the inside. One bad design choice can ruin the device.

You forgot one thing. He's got foothold in the Asian market with Tesla and could easily invest in a Chinese phone manufacturer to build OEM Linux phones. Huawei, XiaoMi, Honor, Oppo... there are plenty of them who would definitely want to expand their market share.

Just get Huawei to make an American rebrand phone, there you go done.

I have a PinePhone and I mostly agree. I really like using it but it's absolutely nowhere near ready for primetime.

Try the new pro version or whatever they call it now?

Thought about it. Next phone will probably be a Brax2 privacy phone. Brax2 (brax.me)
