And from what I'm gathering, this hardcore work environment is still much more lax than the majority of folks deal with regularly.

Entitlement at its finest.

These soft-minded “employees” are what you get once the ds-media-industrial-complex indoctrinates them into thinking that any employer who expects them to actually work for the money they’re paid is committing a hate crime.

It was said that there were 7500 employees at twitter. WHAT THE FUCK DID THEY DO?

I bet they only need around 100 or so decent engineers to keep the platform running. It's mature, so it's not like they're building it out new.

5 One to turn the lights on every day. Four to make sure the servers are running 24/7

I'll give you a few more on the phones to sell ads. There's no need for support.

From the people who brought you "Trump is getting impeached and going jail!" for 5 years comes "Twitter will die in two weeks!"

I would love to work there. Work with people who want to do that type of work and are invested.

It is difficult to find good groups of people to work with. If he would move Twitter away from CA I might try to work there. I know he needs good engineers and I may not be the best but I know I am good at what I do.

The best way to get promoted and a massive pay raise is after mass layoffs. Best of all: the work gets easier because all the developers that write unmaintainable. unstable code are no longer shitting up the code base.

Actually Elon claims it's not just fine, but getting record numbers of users.

Apparently it's users checking if Twitter is still online. But who knows.

I'm checking periodically to see of I'm unbanned, but no luck so far.

Who knows what'll happen. I'm sure a lot of the full-timers will take off and he'll just turn around and rehire temporary workers, hopefully not the needful but it'll get some good old Americans. I'm sure his work first would be 90% contractor.
