At least five employees were fired by private rocket company SpaceX after drafting and circulating an open letter criticizing founder Elon Musk and calling on executives at the start-up to change the company’s work culture to make it more inclusive, according to two people familiar with the matter.

employees involved with circulating the letter had been fired for making other staff feel "uncomfortable, intimidated and bullied, and/or angry because the letter pressured them to sign onto something that did not reflect their views."

Good, fuck them and give them their own medicine.

SpaceX is successful because they hire on merit (I was asked to interview but didn't want to move). Any effort to "become more inclusive" is a nail in their coffin. It's why NASA can't do anything right anymore.

Any company hiring on merit these days will become one of the top in its field. Anyone inside attempting to change this policy is a direct threat to that company's continued success, if not existence.

They were probably leaving anyway. They didn't work for Tesla or SpaceX but twitter. Musks takeover was sudden, so people disliking him had no time to properly quit.

What they're doing now is below petty at the minimum though.

While that "inclusive" shit is a mistake, what did they expect would happen when they bad-mouthed the boss? Besides, the letter may have just been a "smoke screen" to get someone off his back.

LOL

One demand was met!

"define and uniformly respond to all forms of unacceptable behavior".

They fired them for unacceptable behavior.
