But...that's not protected speech. They are mistaking "free speech" with "unlimited speech." Free speech isn't unlimited speech. Free speech, as a phrase, specifically refers to the freedom to criticize your government without retribution. You can say, "The president is a retard because he does retarded things" without the government fining you, arresting you, or otherwise retaliating against you. Free speech does not mean you can make death threats on Twitter. That should violate Twitters ToS as well as the law.
