So, are all these death threats posted on Twitter? Odd how some death threats are allowed while other comments are construed as threats of violence and deleted....

I thought advocating violence, especially toward an individual, was illegal.

When Trump was elected I did a search on Twitter for death threats against him. I easily found dozens, some possibly crossing Brandenburg threshold--a way higher standard than what Twitter employs.

These people really think they're not Big Brother

But...that's not protected speech.

They are mistaking "free speech" with "unlimited speech." Free speech isn't unlimited speech. Free speech, as a phrase, specifically refers to the freedom to criticize your government without retribution. You can say, "The president is a retard because he does retarded things" without the government fining you, arresting you, or otherwise retaliating against you.

Free speech does not mean you can make death threats on Twitter.

That should violate Twitters ToS as well as the law.
