I need a bit of help in direction. I have a single phase 110/220v 200amp acdc sqaurewave inverter welder.

Specs Output Power

AC/DC

Input Voltages

110/220V ± 15%, 1-PH, 50/60Hz

Input Current

15A @110V, 30A @220V

Output Current

TIG: 10 – 200A AC/DC

Stick: 30 – 200A AC/DC

Power Factor

0.73

Power Efficiency

80%

Duty cycle @ 40°C (104°F)

60% @150A, 110V

100% @110A, 110V

60% @190A, 220V 100% @150A, 220V

I am going to buy a external welder frequency controller for it but help I need is how can I make a external box that can convert squarewave into sine, soft and triangle with turn of rotary switch? Doesn't need by a masterful product only work. Controller needs be able change waveforms and add adjustable pulse setting to welder. Goal is to either hard wire into welder between welder and output connector or inline between welder output connector and tig torch. I ain't an electronic genius as I need got into it but I did teach myself how to build guitar pickups and can make the. Sound how I want and can wire up a decently complex guitar configuration so with direction and guidance I can accomplish this as well. I did alot of Google but found nothing available as a diy project or commercial available

All waveforms offer a specific feature or quality during ac welding. Each waveform has its purpose

I've been welding for 17 years I know how to use ac balance, waveforms to manipulate my work piece can even weld aluminum in dc. I have always manually pulsed using a potentiometer switch or foot pedal but it be nice to add the features to my panel to my welder with analog switches to control selections. I tried to find all circuitry diagrams and parts list to find the difference between lotos tig200acdcp and lotos tig200acdc and convert mine to the acdcp model but being a non named branded Canadian welder is not open source information. I'm sure it have another welder in common that's have the features on its panel and mine can be converted. Sure I could sell mine and upgrade but where's the adventure in hacking and nodding things

Sometimes you just have to appreciate the ingenuity some of the big name welders and the technology they offer. If it's more of an adventure to ya then I hope you find what you're looking for. I welded structural steel so never needed to use ac much. All I know when welding aluminum is, if you think it's clean, it's not, you need to clean it more.
