Then there are these suppliers who actually have a handful of chips, but are unwilling to let a $5 part go for less than $105.

We wonder how much longer we'll be able to hang on, being such a small company. We know our (also small) competitors are dealing with this as well, so I've been prepared to go back to discrete analog basics; ready to dust off old designs from the 70's and 80's, just so our customers have something to work with and we have something to sell.

Every new product we planned on developing has been cancelled, in favor of redesign/porting around what we can get.

I will continue fighting as hard as I possibly can to hang on, and I have been asking God for the strength and wisdom.

I'm sure there never was a shortage. Simply price gouging. All designed go injure American and European manufacturing and reflected economies.

Remember their official explanation is all of the auto industry canceled their orders and therefore lost priority. And that everyone else swooped in to consume those components. Except there are no goods which actually did that which means it never happened. All goods with planned market increases were already included in production planned capacity.

The only thing which actually happened is prices exploded and deliveries were delayed for months at reduced rates.
