  • CD/DVD players in the early 2000s that newly addapted support for MP3/WMA (sadly not XiPH OGG) only supported linear playback; no fast forwarding or rewinding.

Early CD/DVD players did not measure the playback time of MP3 files reliably, thus the time might get messed up when play/pause'ing too quickly.
