My last time using was Solaris 10 and I was starting to get into zones when the bottom fell out in 2003 and found myself out of a job for a year+. FreeBSD is good. Debian is good as well and a daily driver for some stuff. Systemd might be nefarious but it is open source so the code can be reviews. That still doesn't mean M$ can't create backdoors into the Windows OS via the systemd Ubuntu system.
