let's look at this 300k per major city, let's take a large city that would definitely be a target ...New York population of 8,804,190 in 2020... Even 5% of that number decided that freedom was worth fighting and dying for is 440,209.5 10% would be 880k this is not counting the surrounding smaller cities, rural folks, and vets...

Nope last I heard around 5 million could be higher, but not for long {the one child initiative=they will soon have an aging population and few working/military age}... 1) supply line halfway across the world from a country already having supply problems 2) Need to keep enough troops at home due to pissed off neighbours 3) Once a person who has be suppressed and under the boots of dictators all their life get a chance at freedom what happens...
