Yeah, good IT guys are both lazy and productive. It is a strong possibility that they didn't have good IT guys, i.e. they hired liberally from the H1B pool and now they're full of streetshitters. The next question is whether that choice was made maliciously or ineptly.
Don't get me wrong, I think they're still guilty of something. I just like to work out all of the possible arguments before they do so they can't weasel out of it. I.E. they may have had no idea that voter fraud was happening; they may have just been told to set up the systems this way then an outside party used the security holes to do the exploiting. We still don't know the full picture, so all we can do is keep pulling threads and see what they unravel.
Nobody is lazier and less productive than H1Bs. Getting them to even install necessary software is a nightmare.
The default install for some SQL Server installs includes SSMS by default, don't they?
The problem is we’re running into conflicting concepts, here:
-So cheap as to hire H1B to do the work
BUT ALSO
-So spend happy they’re willing to install MSSQL Server on every machine (H1B companies push MySQL because the streetshitters are more familiar and it’s free)
AS WELL AS
-So industrious they’ll do a manual install on every machine
YET ALSO
-So lazy they won’t take adequate security measures
