Correct. SSMS is a very specific tool, does not come bundled with any standard version of Windows, and would have to be specifically installed for database development and management.
Unless there were an instance of SQL Server installed on each voting machine, and even in those circumstances, it’s not required, then there would need to be an explanation given as to why it was installed.
Maybe it was just an accident? Us IT guys get confused sometimes too ya know.
Sure, it happens all the time. At my company they’re always accidentally installing specialized database management tools on the data entry folks’ computers. I mean, over the last five years, across 4,000 installs they’ve put it on… none of the computers of users who didn’t specifically ask for it.
Anyway to prove that it was actually used and for what ??.
I would say it’s on them to say why they’d put that very specific tool on the machine, but in the end, it doesn’t really matter. As I’ve suggested in the past, Stacey Abrams could pull “missing” Biden ballots out of that gap between the teeth of her ugly ass face, and people would still say it’s on the up and up.
Lol, 'magic' !!...
Well they could be using SQL Server for storing vote data. One way I could see this happening is if they installed the server on each machine separately, and manually configured each database using SSMS. Even though it's stupidity rather than maliciousness, it still opens up the machines to exploitation which should definitely be punished.
IT people are simultaneously lazy and productive. Anyone worth a shit would create a system image. Also, any formally trained IT pro follows the mantra of “less over more,” as well as “idiot proof for security.” None of these fall in line with what is being seen on the machines. Manual mass installs, too much software, poor security. These things were built expressly to be tampered with.
Yeah, good IT guys are both lazy and productive. It is a strong possibility that they didn't have good IT guys, i.e. they hired liberally from the H1B pool and now they're full of streetshitters. The next question is whether that choice was made maliciously or ineptly.
Don't get me wrong, I think they're still guilty of something. I just like to work out all of the possible arguments before they do so they can't weasel out of it. I.E. they may have had no idea that voter fraud was happening; they may have just been told to set up the systems this way then an outside party used the security holes to do the exploiting. We still don't know the full picture, so all we can do is keep pulling threads and see what they unravel.
