There have been multiple studies published that show the impossibility of the election outcome. The average American hasn't had the requisite amount of mathematical education to understand it though. Ask everyone you know if they've ever taken a statistics course. You'll be shocked. Now ask if they even know what combinatorics is and you'll likely find nobody you know even knows what that is.

They also refuse to release data in some cases. In other cases it is available for review.
