Well, that's what Amaranth is. Someone Mantles the Godhead, causing everyone to achieve CHIM, and the Godhead wakes up. The nu-mantia (The person who Mantled) then falls asleep and starts a new dream.

And yeah, power is meaningless. But nobody in-universe knows it's a dream. The only ones who do know, have achieved CHIM, or zero-summed. Doesn't stop everyone from clamoring for more, though.

Eh, I think it's interesting, thus why I'm sharing it. The whole universe is what happens when you give a theology major a mountain of drugs, and tell them to write a video game. The idea of the sleeping Godhead is from Hinduism, Mantling is from the Bible, CHIM is from Thelema, etc.
