We have been warning you for over a decade. The college system is broken. It is not a guarantee to a job, it is however, a guarantee to debt.

This should not be news to the younger generation. Then again, they are all watching short-form video and rotting their brains to the point they are useless.

No, not all of you (assuming we have some younger people here). College is not for everyone and never should have been. Most job's don't need a degree. The only ones that really do are STEM. Some of those don't require degrees. I work in Tech and there is no degree for the work I do. There never has been and probably never will be.

Without any kind of data about the jobs that are or are not being found, the article is rather worthless.

Im pretty sure no jobs that require a degree are avaliable.

At least in tech

Jobs that request a degree are available.

And you have applied for and gotten a response other than auto email response?

Last I tried there were simply all ghost jobs for some scheme. Zero call backs or real email returns.

I setup multiple emails with live sites with supporting data for fake candidates to test this. Did it with 3 fakes plus myself. Entry, 5-7 year, 8-15 year, and myself 25+ year. All had degrees but me.

I crafted the resumes to fit specific jobs that were applied for.

Zero call backs. Over 700 applications for me, about 400 each for the other 3.

Nothing.

My last attempt was pure entry level, dumb down everything.

Zero call backs.

So “avaliable jobs” was not on the table.

In the end, I said fuck it and started a business doing zero tech.
