I never was much into setting goals for myself. I didn't get much encouragement from my parents for anything. I did set a goal to get a college degree, for a couple of reasons, because no one in my family had one and I had the GI Bill. Use it or lose it! I managed to get Associate and Bachalors Degrees from a local Junior College and a respected Christian University. I never mentioned to anyone that I am an Atheist and I even made As in the required Bible classes! LOL No one in my family congratulated me or even mentioned my accomplishment. It didn't matter, I didn't do it for them anyway. I did get promoted to Supervisor at my place of employment. Thanks for reading my rant.
Well, Congratulations on your achievement! It is not for everyone but that does not mean that no one should do it. Be proud of your hard work and effort. Don't let anyone take that from you even if you only did it because you wanted to or wanted to make a point.
Random internet bro gives you a fist-bump for your rant.
