I once got stopped by a young solicitor saying the American Cancer society needed more money to research cancer. I stopped and thought a moment asked him a rhetorical question: when it was established. His response was 1913. So I asked him, when is enough enough? If it didn't have enough time in over a hundred years to find a cure, not to mention the billions of dollars they received over that time, maybe there's no sense in continuing.
