Just take your kids out of public schools. I imagine its kind of hard to homeschool for some people but the schools are really just government child care/daycare. You can teach a kid in a few hours what takes them over a week to teach them.

If you start early your kids will be independent and you wont have to spend 8hr a day trying to teach them.

Though, Even if your kids are going to a public school the teaching should not stop when they get home. Teach them how to cook, grow food, treat injury, work on vehicles.. Etc..
